Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to tickets, registrations and other event-related purchases made through Lokrang. Because Lokrang connects attendees with independent event organizers, the organizer’s event-specific cancellation and refund terms are an important part of each transaction.

1. Event-Specific Refund Terms

Refund eligibility, cancellation windows, deductions, ticket-transfer permissions and deadlines may vary by event.
The cancellation and refund terms shown on the relevant Lokrang event page, registration flow, ticket or communicated by the organizer apply to that event.
If an organizer states that an event is non-refundable, refunds will generally not be issued except where required by applicable law or expressly approved by Lokrang.

2. Cancellation by Attendee

Cancellation requests must follow the method specified for the event or Lokrang support process.
Requests may require the booking/reference number, registered phone or email and additional verification.
If the event-specific terms do not permit cancellation, the request may be rejected.
A ticket that has already been used, checked in or successfully scanned may not be eligible for a refund.

3. Refundable and Non-Refundable Amounts

Platform, service or convenience fees may be non-refundable where disclosed.
Payment gateway charges, taxes, add-ons, merchandise, booking charges or other third-party charges may be non-refundable where permitted and disclosed.
Where only part of a booking is refundable, the refund will be calculated according to the applicable event terms and disclosed deductions.

4. Organizer Cancellation

If an organizer cancels an event, available refund or alternative options will be determined by the organizer's published terms and the circumstances of the cancellation.
Options may include a full or partial refund, revised date, ticket transfer, credit or another remedy communicated by the organizer.
Platform/service fees will be treated according to the disclosed terms and applicable law.

5. Postponement or Event Changes

If an event is postponed, the original ticket may remain valid for the revised date unless the organizer states otherwise.
If an organizer provides cancellation or refund options because of a material change, the communicated options and deadlines will apply.

6. Duplicate, Failed or Incorrect Payments

Duplicate payments will be investigated and refunded when the duplicate transaction is verified.
Failed transactions where money was debited but a booking was not successfully created will be reviewed with the payment provider and refunded or reconciled where applicable.
Incorrect ticket bookings are generally handled according to the organizer's event-specific policy.

7. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will generally be sent to the original payment method or another method permitted by the payment provider and Lokrang.
Processing time depends on payment gateways, banks, verification, weekends, holidays and other financial-system processing times.
Lokrang is not responsible for delays caused solely by banks or external payment providers.

8. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks

Users should contact Lokrang support before initiating a payment dispute where reasonably possible so the transaction can be investigated.
Fraudulent, unauthorized or disputed transactions may be investigated and relevant information may be shared with payment providers or authorities where required.

9. Refund Request Does Not Guarantee Approval

Submitting a refund request does not itself guarantee approval. Refunds remain subject to the applicable event terms, transaction status, verification and applicable law.
